December Students of the Month
Gavin Reed (11 - Ross) Gavin is one of the hardest working and most charismatic students I have in class. He comes to class prepared every day, stays on task, knows his content, and is a valuable contributor. In addition to being a great student he is a model citizen who I feel always does the right thing and supports his peers.
Emily Cabral ( 12 - Costa) Emily is a dedicated, hard working, thoughtful, diligent and kind individual!
November Student of the Month
Victoria Miguel: The nominating teacher reports...
Victoria demonstrates improvement and growth when compared to last year. She is engaged during every class and asking questions to understand the material. Victoria has done a great job staying on top of her work and is a very respectful student.
November Student of the Month
Vivian Goodman: The nominating teacher reports....
Vivian is the epitome of a student whom all teachers would want their classrooms to be filled with. She's intellectually engaged and curious, she's a rational, logical, and insightful thinker and learner. She asks the right questions at the right times, and she listens to responses from both teacher and her classmates. Even though she admits to not being a fan of history, Vivian appreciates how we can learn from the past and, if we're the least bit intelligent, apply the learning to our present-day culture and society. Beyond all of that, Vivian is kind, empathetic, sincere, and generous.
October Students of the Month
Abigail Cassata (12 - Mr. Teves) I have had the pleasure of having Abby in class for the past four years. In these past four years Abby has come a very long way! This year she is earning straight A's in all of her classes. She is an incredibly resilient young lady who possesses a "never quit" attitude. She is caring and always willing to help someone in need. In class I often observe her helping her classmates with their projects and assignments. She is patient and understanding. I have complimented her and told her that she would make an amazing teacher if she decided to pursue that route! I believe that she is a very good example of someone who possesses all of Mt. Hope High School's core values.
Maleaq Roderick (10 - Ms. Goulart) I would like to nominate Maleaq for Student of the Month. Though I've only had the pleasure of knowing him for a short time, he has already made a lasting impression on me and everyone around him. Maleaq is an incredibly kind, humble, and inquisitive individual who works hard and consistently strives for understanding and success in all that he does. He is always engaged in class, participates thoughtfully, and shows a true dedication to his studies. Beyond his academic efforts, what really sets Maleaq apart is his kindness. He greets teachers and adults with a warm "hello" at the start of each day and always takes the time to wish everyone a "have a great day" as he leaves. Maleaq embodies the core values of Mt. Hope in everything he does:
