Mt. Hope High School Library is a public school library serving approximately 837 students in Grades 9-12 in the Bristol Warren Regional School District and is located in Bristol, Rhode Island. The library is an institutional member of the American Library Association and is a Future Ready Library. Mt. Hope High School library is also a member library of RILINK, a network of Rhode Island school libraries, and is an accredited member of LORI (Libraries of Rhode Island).
Vision:
The Mt. Hope High School Library will be a learning commons where students can access inclusive collections that acknowledge and celebrate student diversity and will inspire and support the reading lives of both students and teachers. The library will be an educuational hub and learning commons where students can demonstrate mastery of academic competencies with the knowledge and skills necessary to be collaborative, complex, critical thinkers. Students will be empowered as learners and creators of information and ideas, and will engage in challenging, personalized, inquiry driven, and standard aligned learning opportunities. In collaboration, teachers and librarians will leverage technology to enhance and support instruction, delivering content in innovative ways to foster deeper, more authentic learning, while preparing students for success in work and life in the 21st Century.
